I found that this contains some very practical tips for club players, esp. when it comes to tactics in duplicate pairs.
Good info
Get your partners on board. This book gives good guidance to intermediate players and likely will organize the thoughts of experienced players as well. Our author is, I believe, he best in the bridge business.
A bit too advanced for a beginner to understand. I find that playing is a much better way to learn, and then read this Book to back up what u have observed.
Helps me score better at MPs
This book moves on from remembering the various bids and the points required, instead it allows judgement. And that makes the game so much more enjoyable and fun. All the tactics are set out well with clear logic and I have tried them with success at the club. Only thing is - your partner will want to be reading this book in parallel so that you can interpret each other's tactics properly.
A great addition to any duplicate player's bookshelf. Recommended for beginners and mid-level players.
There are of course lots of book on this theme....many of them impenetrable. This book, laced with common sense, easy to grasp fundamentals, is a book you can read through (probably more than once) and put some of the ideas immediately into practice. The thoughtfully selected hands help make the author's points clear, and he isn't shy about reiterating key themes. Highly recommended.
